Glossary: What is privacy?

What is privacy? According to ‘Mass Communication In Canada’ book. Privacy is the right of people to protect certain aspects of their personal lives from the media. Such rights do not exist in Britain in any formal way and they are weak in the United States. 

In other words, privacy is our right of being free from being observed or disturbed by anyone. We are losing our privacy because our social life is more mediated by ICT organizations.

There is many examples using privacy,  Most common example about privacy is online social networks.
